About Me

Senior Backend Engineer with 5.5+ years building distributed systems and real-money gaming platforms on AWS. I design scalable microservices, fault-tolerant architectures, and high-throughput services on PostgreSQL, caching, and event-driven patterns, and own the full lifecycle from system design through production operations, reliability, and performance.

At Jumbo, I work across payments, wallets, transactions, and core game services on a high-scale real-money gaming platform. Earlier roles spanned drone airspace management, hostel reservations, and a skills marketplace, so I've built backends for very different domains and scales.

Serverless backend for an unmanned aircraft traffic-management platform regulating shared airspace. Built the deconfliction engine that continuously verifies 3D separation between aircraft and scaled it to 1,000+ drones tracked live, with real-time WebSocket telemetry and APIs for role management, drone registration, and RPTO batch handling.

Built and scaled backend services for a real-money gaming platform processing ~700K requests/min, ₹5 Cr peak payment volume, and 30 Cr+ in-game transactions across Ludo, Fantasy, Jackpot, and LevelUp.

Payments, Wallet & Financial Infra
  • Designed and developed core financial infrastructure, including a multi-currency wallet ledger, payment service, transaction history service, and a risk engine for payout validation and fraud checks.
  • Integrated Razorpay, Cashfree, and Paytm with intelligent gateway routing and automated payment reconciliation, eliminating manual wallet correction workflows.
  • Developed DigiGold buy/sell workflows using Augmont APIs, plus Jumbo and Cherry gift-card ordering systems, with automated cleanup jobs for failed and orphaned transactions.
Platform & Performance
  • Architected and owned the Fantasy Sports platform from design to production, defining service boundaries, PostgreSQL schema, and REST API contracts.
  • Reduced backend traffic by ~50% with CDN caching, optimized Cache-Control strategies, and cache invalidation.
  • Improved performance with Redis, migrated analytical workloads to ClickHouse through ETL pipelines, and optimized high-volume PostgreSQL queries.
  • Built an AWS SQS event-processing pipeline for server-side attribution, integrating Singular, CleverTap, Entity Sports, Augmont, and Linkrunner.

  • Diagnosed and resolved a critical PostgreSQL connection exhaustion issue causing ~40% order failures under production traffic.
